I’m going to be tabling at the SUNY Purchase Zine Feast this Sunday! As is usually the case with comic/zine festivals, it’s going to be exciting, inspiring and probably overwhelmingly crowded and anxiety-inducing! YAYAYAYAY! COME! Check out the website!

This month, I’ve been doing a bunch of chalkboard artwork for Stinky BKLYN, a sweet cheese shop in the Cobble Hill area of Brooklyn. This is a shoddy camera-phone documentation of one of my artistic contributions to the store: a big, fat rendering of Taleggio.

Taleggio is an Italian washed-rind cheese made with raw cow milk. It is traditionally aged for three months but Stinky ages theirs for an additional 30 days. The end result is a much creamier, pungent cheese with a complex, savory flavor of mushrooms and onions. It’s amazing.

Try pairing it with a heavy red wine or with fresh tomatoes and sesame bread!

Hey! So MoCCA Fest ‘13 was this past weekend and it was really sick. The three weeks beforehand, I was working on turning my bathroom into a janky screenprinting studio and everything managed to work out alright the night before the festival! Here are some of the bigger prints I had for sale.
Folks were super down with them, which was really encouraging for my first “series”. I think I’m going to try and do some more complicated designs come summer.

Also, thanks to everyone else tabling at MoCCA Fest that helped make it as awesome as it was. It’s always super inspiring to walk around in the hot, vastly crowded Armory and know that there’s sooo many people who care about the same things that I do.
