Heads up, Brooklyn!

Hey y’all! Sorry for the short notice but I’m participating in an artist panel tonight at Brooklyn Wayfarers! I’m going to premiere the Wood Spider animation from this summer and talk about the process used to make it. I’m also going to present a comic that I made just for the event!
All of the information can be found here!

Come by and talk to me afterward! I’ll be chillin’.

So I’m working on a graphic novel now. This is a sketch of one of the pages from chapter one. It’s an epic about a small group of ants trying to reestablish a society after their colony has fallen to cordyceps parasites.
I am slowly learning how ambitious of an undertaking this will be.

Here is a music video I worked on throughout the spring with my bandmates in Wood Spider. We all rotoscoped different segments from a live video of one of our songs. I’m super proud of all of us for being able to complete such a project and trudging through all of the mental breakdowns.

Animation is becoming a super exciting medium for me. Working on this has only given me more ideas to play around with in my next project, which I hope to have done by the end of fall.

I’m excited about this weird thing I’m working on.

Two pencil studies of the fjord by the village of Sainte-Rose-Du-Norde in Northern Quebec.
I would love to do more pencil landscapes but I’m back in NYC now and the only thing there is to draw here is sad people on the subway.

abajodeuncristal-deactivated201 asked: Your site is amazing !! Talent and Creativity one in all. Keep going on! How do you make your 2-d animations ? They remind me of the old school cinema :=)

Hey, thanks! All of my animations are done with pencil (or ink) and paper. Sometimes I use tracing paper or a light box so everything lines up properly but for my abstract animations, I’ll sometimes “freehand” it because I like the unpredictability of the final product.
The programs I use are Photoshop and AfterEffects (Though all of my .gif work is done solely in Photoshop).
Thanks so much for the support. This month, I’ll be done with a big animation I’ve been working on all of this year and I’ll be sure to post it. <@:O)
